Rev Fr Emmanuel-tv Dimobi
Parish Priest
Biography
I am Fr. Emmanuel-tv Dimobi, from West African and originally from Nigeria. I had a long period of studies, training, and formation to the priesthood, which started in 1987 when my minor seminary training was initiated. In the course of my formation, I did my graduate Study in “Philosophy” at Bigard Memorial Seminary, Enugu, Nigeria; diploma in “Journalism” at Don Scotus School of Journalism, Enugu, Nigeria; graduate study in “Theology” at ST Thomas Aquinas University(Angelicum), Rome Italy; and postgraduate study in “Communication ” at Gregorian University, Rome, Italy. At the completion of my studies in Rome, I arrived in Australia on the 1st January 2005, and later on continued with my postgraduate studies in “Philosophical Studies” at Notre Dame University, Western Australia. On the 4th March 2011, I was ordained a priest at St Mary’s Cathedral for the Archdiocese of Perth. After my ordination, I worked as an Assistant Priest at St Emilie’s Parish in Canning Vale for 2 years, and at St Joseph’s Parish Northam for 2½ years. I took over the parish of Holy Spirit Church, City Beach from Fr. Don Kettle on the 8th September 2015(birthday of our Lady) as the 3rd Parish Priest of the parish. Holy Spirit is a friendly and welcoming parish community. Our Holy Spirit School is an integral part of our parish community as it is evidenced by the active involvement of teachers, pupils, and parents in the life and ministry of the parish. My ministry or duty as your parish priest doesn’t just end at the four corners of the “Church or School” environment. It also extends to your individual families. I would love to be part of your family life and formation by visiting your families at your convenience. Organize a date and get me duly informed as home visitation is an integral part of my ministry here in the parish. We extend our welcome and friendship to all new parishioners, visitors, guests who visit the Holy Spirit Church every now and then. When you visit, relax and enjoy our friendship. We look forward to welcoming you. I commend you all into the maternal care of our Blessed Mother Mary, the Mother of God and our Mother. Let’s pray God to continue to give value to our little worth as we place all our hope and trust in Him.
