The parish acknowledges that safeguarding is a shared responsibility prioritizing the care and protection of adults and children.
By providing a safe and welcoming environment, actively identifying, and managing risk, and complying with the Safeguarding policy, guidelines, and legal obligations, we serve Jesus and uphold human dignity as the foundation of our mission.
The parish is committed to implementing the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards (NCSS). We annually undertake a self-assessment (Safeguarding Activities Assessment Tool – SAAT) to continuously improve and monitor the implementation of the NCSS.
The parish aims to be a safe, welcoming, and inclusive place free from all forms of abuse (physical, emotional, sexual, and neglect) for all, especially the most vulnerable.
